IT'S THE FOURTH OF JULY, OH MY,
HOORAY FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY !

The Fourth of July, as kids all know,
Can be so full of fun:
A day for picnics, flags and more,
A three-legged race to run.

America wants to give a cheer,
To whoop and shout "Hooray !"
And thank those valiant minutemen
On Independence Day.

So many ways to celebrate,
So what do you like best:
A picnic on a checkered cloth
Where ants may be your guest ?

And watermelon's plentiful
At picnics in July,
And baseball games to pass the day,
And lots of apple pie.

What better day to play outdoors
And spend with family,
To watch parades and wave small flags
And cheer most happily ?

And then at dusk, as twilight falls
And stars begin to shine,
Come fireworks that spark and flash
And send thrills down your spine.

Now here's a secret, just for you,
If you go to our store
You'll have more fun this holiday
With T-shirts, mugs and more.

You'll find cute clothes and gifts galore
In red and white and blue,
All gussied up and star-spangled,
And waiting just for you

To share with moms and dads and kids
That very special day,
To share some fun this hot July,
Now what more can I say ?
