whose name was LUCKY

 
 
 
What a happy coincidence !

As we were in the process of creating this Baby Bird 
website, which sells fun children's clothing, family
gifts and sweet children's picture books, we had the 
opportunity to save the life of another baby pigeon.
 
A flock of pigeons live in the tunnel of a nearby 
train station. One morning a baby bird had either 
fallen from the nest or tried to fly too soon. She 
was unable to escape from the tracks and was 
huddled between the rails as the trains passed 
over her, before we found and rescued her.

Because we were amazed that she had survived 
that terrible morning, we named her Lucky. Lucky 
spent six and a half weeks with us, being fed and 
given flying lessons until, finally, she was able to
be successfully released into a nearby woods. A 
flock of pigeons were waiting to greet her.
